March , 2005 - Sprint (NYSE: FON, PCS) under the FTS2001 government contract has sold the Sprint MessengerSM Service www.sprint.com/govmessenger, an Internet-based service that enables the Executive Office of US Attorneys' employees to create, send and manage their outgoing critical and urgent messages more efficiently and effectively.
The Sprint Messenger SM One to Many Messaging Service is a highly customizable multi-channel notification service, which delivers immediate emergency notifications. The service enables you to automate routine messages and processes with fully interactive or prerecorded voice and text communications and have them sent to a distribution list of people on virtually any communications device including phone, fax, email, pager, PDA or instant messenger.
Sprint's comprehensive solution is tailored for both secure and non-secure messaging environments, allowing more flexibility than any other messaging solution. It can contact an unlimited number of people that need time-sensitive urgent information in a timely manner.
This office has loaded all of their office personnel into the address book and uses the service to send time sensitive emergency messages out to selected groups that are in need of the information.
The service has been offered by Sprint for over a year to many other government and commercial agencies.
